National Herbal Medicine Week 2009

During the third week of September, all around Australia, local herbalists will be running events to promote the use and practice of herbal medicine.

Events will include talks and presentations by herbalists, herb garden tours, tea tastings and more.

National Herbal Medicine Week aims to promote herbal medicine to the general public, to correct misinformation and myths surrounding herbal medicine, and to share our knowledge of the strength, potential and value of herbal medicine.

Sydney: Royal Botanic Gardens, Sunday 13 September, Maiden Theatre, from 10 am including guided walk in the herb garden at 1 pm

Adelaide: Botanic Gardens North Terrace, Sunday 20 September, Goodman Building (near Hackney Road entrance), from 10 am including guided walk in the herb garden at 2 p.m.

NewcastleFig Tree Community Garden, Sunday 20 September, from 10 am to 3 pm for a day filled with all things herbal. There will be guided tours of the garden, talks, short herbal medicine consultations, herbal cream making demonstrations, food and lots more! Visit www.figtree.org.au
